PaperTyper is an online AI essay generator and editor. Its essay generator is offered along with other online writing tools, such as a grammar checker, citation generator, and knowledge bank.

PaperTyper is an online AI writing tool designed to quickly generate essays on any topic you type in. It also offers a basic editing bar with features like text alignment, bold font, and bullet point lists, etc., to help format the resulting essay.
The tool works quickly; however, as you’ll see from our test, its output is incredibly limited in length.
The aim of tools like PaperTyper is to help students correctly cite references, check grammar and spelling, and complete other common writing tasks.
An essay generator can be used as a basic overview tool to help students understand the structure of an essay.
However, PaperTyper does not give specific styles or outlines (like argumentative, narrative, etc). Rather, its AI generator starts to write the essay, but stops before it reaches 100 words.
The tool is free to use and requires no registration. However, its generated output stops after less than 100 words, prompting registration if you want to increase the word count.
The test was designed to see if three popular AI detectors, including the Originality.ai AI content detector, Writer, and ZeroGPT, could detect the AI-generated essay from PaperTyper.
Step 1: First, we entered topics into the PaperTyper tool. Considering the tool’s very limited word count, we generated two essays on different topics (content marketing and coffee). Then, we copied and pasted both essays word-for-word into 1 AI sample for the AI detectors to test, which was 100+ words.

Step 2: We then ran the AI-generated text through Originality.ai, ZeroGPT, and Writer AI to see if the generated output was detectable.

Originality.ai AI Detector Score: 100% Likely AI

Writer AI Detector Score: 74% Human-Generated Content (26% Likely AI)

ZeroGPT AI Detection Score: 100% AI GPT

In our test, Originality.ai had an exceptional performance in detecting the AI Essay samples from PaperTyper, identifying the content as 100% Likely AI.
ZeroGPT also identified the generated essay as 100% AI GPT. However, Writer noted that the AI content was 74% human-generated.
